DIINS - The Next Generation CPF Navigation System - An Overview

Abstract

The Canadian Navy has been developing a highly fault tolerant, integrated navigation system for its dual INS equipped frigates for a number of years. The system, called DIINS (Dual Inertial Integrated Navigation System), is now in the final stages of sea trials before being prepared for installation on the vessels. This report provides a high level overview of the system.
