Abstract

Article I is a translation of major portions of the book, Regional Government in Indonesia (Pemerintahan Daerah di Indonesia) by Doctoral Candidate The Liang-gie, which analyzes the system of regional government in Indonesia under Law No 1 of 1957 and compares this law with earlier legislation on the same subject. Articles II-V are translations of several decrees issued by the Indonesian government in 1959 modifying Law No 1 of 19597.
