Year 2000 End-To-End Tests for the Military Health System.

Abstract

This report is one of a series being issued by the Inspector General, DoD, in accordance with an informal partnership with the Chief Information Officer, DoD, to monitor DoD efforts to address the year 2000 computing challenge. For a complete listing of audit projects addressing the year 2000 issue, see the year 2000 web pages on the IGnet at http://www.ignet.gov. End-to-end testing in the Military Health System involves three functional areas: patient care, patient administration, and medical logistics. In addition to DoD automated information systems, the systems of managed care Support contractors and medical materiel prime vendors participate in the patient administration and medical logistics functional areas, respectively.
