Hazardous Waste Disposal Costs for The Defense Logistics Agency.

Abstract

This audit is part of the overall audit, "DoD Hazardous Waste Disposal Costs," (Project No. 9CK-5021). The overall audit was jointly conducted by the Inspector General, DoD, and the Army, Navy, and Air Force audit agencies. The Office of the Deputy Under Secretary of Defense (Environmental Security) requested the audit to review the costs and quantities and the budget formulation and review process related to DoD hazardous waste disposal. This report discusses hazardous waste disposal cost budgeting, execution, and measure of merit reporting at the Defense Logistics Agency. An overall report will be issued to summarize the audit results of the Services and the Defense Logistics Agency.
