Evaluation Report on the Army Materiel Command Contract Audit Followup Program

Abstract

The U.S. Army Materiel Command subordinate commands are responsible for processing about 30 percent of all Defense Contract Audit Agency audit reports the Army reports semiannually to the Inspector General, DoD. Each year the U.S. Army Materiel Command awards more than $18 billion in contracts. Contract audit reports are tracked from time of receipt to final disposition to provide accountability for and to ensure timely resolution and disposition of report findings and recommendations. The information in the tracking system serves as the source document for preparation of the semiannual status report.
