Defense Base Realignment and Closure Budget Data for Naval Air Station Miramar, California, and Realigning Projects to Various Sites

Abstract

The overall audit objective was to determine the accuracy of Defense base realignment and closure military construction budget data. This report provides the results of the audit of seven projects, valued at $64.2 million, for the realignment of functions from the Naval Air Station Miramar, California, to Naval Air Station Lemoore, California, and various other Navy sites. The audit also evaluated the implementation of the DoD Internal Management Control Program and assessed the adequacy of applicable internal controls.
