Controlling Chaos in Plasma Filled Diodes

Abstract

The Report starts with a brief historical introduction to current investigations and a description of possible physical embodiments of the system. This is followed by a detailed discussion of the mathematical model of the system, the methods used in solving the corresponding integro-differential equations and some analytical solutions in the two accessible cases of a steady state and harmonic oscillations. The main body of the report is concerned with detailed analysis of the dynamical behavior of the system and various methods of controlling chaos by a suitable adjustment of the relevant parameters of the system.
