Commissary Management Data

Abstract

Our initial objective was to determine whether critical commissary management data were available, accurate, useful, and reliable and whether the data were provided to managers to operate, evaluate, and make major financial and nonfinancial decisions. In reeognition of DeCA's relative newness and its strong commitment in FY 1993 to implement a performance and results program, we dropped our initial objective and focused on evaluating the adequacy and usefulness of selected DeCA performance targets.
