JADS Management Report

Abstract

The Joint Advanced Distributed Simulation Joint Test and Evaluation (JADS JT&E) was chartered by the Deputy Director, Test, Systems Engineering, and Evaluation (Test and Evaluation), Office of the Secretary of Defense (Acquisition and Technology) in October 1994 to investigate the utility of advanced distributed simulation (ADS) technologies for support of development test and evaluation (DT&E) and operational test and evaluation (OT&E). In accordance with the requirements of the Joint Test and Evaluation Handbook, this report was written. This report serves three purposes. First, it provides DDT&E with the Joint Test Director's assessment of the Joint Test and Evaluation to include accomplishment of the chartered mission. Second, it documents lessons learned for consideration in the organization and management of future Joint Test Forces. Third, it provides recommendations for actions to improve efficiency and effectiveness for future Joint Test Forces.
