First International Symposium on Nonthermal Medical/Biological Treatments using Electromagnetic Fields and Ionized Gases

Abstract

In order to provide a forum for the exchange of information and ideas in these emerging research and technology fields, the "First International Symposium on Nonhermal Medical/Biological Treatments Using Electromagnetic Fields and Ionize Gases" ("ElectroMed99," for short) was held on April 12-14, 1999 in Norfolk, Virginia. The Symposium was sponsored by the U.S. Air Force Office of Scientific Research, the National Science Foundation, IEEE Nuclear and Plasma Sciences Society, the Bioelectromagnetics Society, Old Dominion University, the Eastern Virginia Medical School, and the College of William and Mary.
