Polymeric Membranes for Direct Methanol Fuel Cells.

Abstract

This report results from a contract tasking Warsaw University of Technology as follows: The contractor will investigate the potential to reduce the methanol crossover and enhance the performance of direct methanol fuel cells by developing two new types of polymeric electrolytes. The first type will be a modification of the traditional Nation polymer electrolyte by grafting vinylphosphonic acid to the Nation. The second type will be the use of vinyiphosphonic acid with polybenzimidazole (PBl).
