Next Generation Cargo Movement System Analysis, Volume 2. Transportation Research Agenda

Abstract

This task is second of two research phases conducted to determine future Air Force transportation requirements with the purpose of identifying potential future initiatives. This second phase of the effort analyzed the trends identified in the first phase and selected those critical needs and deficiencies that could be addressed through research within the Air Force Research Laboratory's Sustainment Logistics Branch. It also identified the technologies and research areas with the greatest potential for system benefits and formulated a recommended technology development roadmap entitled Transportation Research Agenda.
