Hard X-Ray Spectroscopy for Proton Flare Prediction

Abstract

This report results from a contract tasking Academy of Sciences Czech Republic as follows: The contractor will investigate the emission of hard x-rays during solar flare events. The project has two basic goals: 1) to evaluate the efficacy of solar hard x-ray spectroscopy to predict interplanetary proton storms and 2) to study the high energy physics of solar flares.
