Aircraft Depot Maintenance Programs

Abstract

Our objective was to evaluate the maintenance programs that were designed to reduce aircraft depot maintenance costs. Specifically, we were requested to evaluate the effectiveness of the implementation of the Reliability Centered Maintenance and the Aircraft Service Period Adjustment Programs and determine if the programs were meeting their objectives of reducing costs. We also evaluated the impact of these maintenance programs on mission capability and determined the effectiveness of internal controls.
