Research and Development Contracting at DOD Laboratories

Abstract

This is our final report on the Audit of Research and Development Contracting at DoD Laboratories for your information and use. Comments on a draft of this report were considered in preparing the final report. We performed the audit from December 1989 through July 1990. The objectives were to evaluate compliance with Public Law 98-369, "Competition in Contracting Act" (the Act), and to determine whether appropriate contract types were used. We also evaluated the effectiveness of applicable internal controls.
