Breast Cancer Study: 1997 Patient Survey Methodology and Data Summary

Abstract

This report presents the methodology and a general summary of results from a 199? survey of breast cancer patients. The survey included all women diagnosed and/or treated for breast cancer at Brooke Army Medical Center, Fort Sam Houston (San Antonio), Texas, whose breast cancer was initially diagnosed in the period 1987-1997. Basic summary statistics and results of ANOVA and Chi-square tests of survey variables byrace are presented for 907 white, African American, and Hispanic patients.
