Work Plan for the Risk-Based Remediation of Site SS-15A Homestead Air Reserve Base Florida

Abstract

This work plan, prepared by Parsons Engineering Science, Inc. (Parsons ES), describes the scope of work required for the collection and analysis of data to support a risk-based remediation decision for soil and groundwater contaminated with fuel hydrocarbons at Site SS-15A, Homestead Air Reserve Base (ARB) (formerly Homestead Air Force Base). The work is being performed for the Air Force Center for Environmental Excellence, Technology Transfer Division (AFCEE/ERT) under Air Mobility Command (AMC) contract No. F11623-94-00024, Order No. 39. The objective of risk-based remediation is to reduce the risk of specific chemicals to human health and/or ecological receptors such as animals or plant life, and to prevent aesthetic nuisances.
