Wave Propagation in the Arabian Plate

Abstract

This report presents a tomographic analysis of surface-wave group velocity dispersion through the Arabian Plate and studies on the usefulness of genetic algorithms for the inversion of surface-wave waveforms for earth structure. The raw group velocity dispersion measurements are available by anonymous ftp to ftp.eas.slu.edu in the directory pub/rbh/ARABIA.
