Further Research on Super Auditory Localization for Improved Human-Machine Interfaces

Abstract

We achieved goals 1-6, 8 and 11. Due to the nature of our findings, we did not pursue goals 7, 9 and 10; instead, we focused on the rich problem of near-source HRTFs and perception of nearby sources (area 11). In addition to measuring and analyzing these HRTFs, we performed a series of experiments investigating localization of nearby sources.
