Disposal Methods for Flameless Ration Heaters and Meals, Ready-to-Eat for the Food Service Program

Abstract

The objective of this project was to investigate effective handling and disposal procedures for Flameless Ration Heaters (FRH). This work included evaluating product characteristics and disposal methods. The research also included an investigation of methods used in the handling of waste material in Germany. The results of this work provided the necessary information to prepare a document on the proper handling, storage and disposal of the FRH.
