Demographic Data Supporting the DOD Military Retirement Health Benefits Liability Estimate

Abstract

The objective of the audit was to assess the reliability and completeness of the demographic data used to calculate the DoD military retirement health benefits liability. Specifically, we reviewed data from extracts of the Defense Enrollment Eligibility Reporting System used for estimating the liability. We also reviewed the management controls related to the objective. A future report will contain our coverage of the management control program.
