Computer Calculations of the Gasbuggy Event

Abstract

Shock-wave effects calculations of the Gasbuggy gas stimulation experiment have been made using a one-dimensional Lagrangian code, SOC The detailed material description used for the equation of state of the rocks is presented along with the results of the calculations. Preliminary data from reentry of the emplacement hole indicate that the chimney height and available time of arrival data agree with predictions.
