Site Closure Report for Building 173 - Former Diesel UST Site, Robins Air Force Base, Warner Robins, Georgia

Abstract

Since 1992, Robins Air Force Base (AFB) has participated in the Air Force Bioventing Pilot Test Initiative project. Sponsored by the Air Force Center for Environmental Excellence (AFCEE) at Brooks AFB, Texas, the project has involved conducting more than 135 in situ bioventing pilot tests at 48 Air Force installations throughout the United States (US). These tests were designed to collect data on the effectiveness of bioventing for the remediation of soil contaminated with fuel hydrocarbons (e.g., WA jet fuel, diesel fuel, gasoline, or heating oil).
