Interim Bioventing Pilot Test Results Letter Report

Abstract

Engineering-Science, Inc. (ES) is pleased to present the interim test results of the bioventing pilot study at Installation Restoration Program (IRP) Site ST-27. Initial testing of site parameters was conducted in May, 1993 and consisted of an air permeability test and in-situ respiration tests. These data are presented herein and have been evaluated to determine the feasibility of continuing with the bioventing initiative at this site. This letter report replaces the formal interim results report typically provided by ES under the bioventing program. Interim test results are presented at this time pending startup of the one-year bioventing pilot study. The extended pilot study was postponed indefinitely until liquid-phase product recovery and/or vapor control measures can be implemented at the site.
