Our nations need for a responsive, dynamic, unencumbered, forward.deployed, expeditionary force to provide true flexibility for rapid response will continue to be critical in the 2lst century. As a result, our vision is a war fighting who is fast, lean, mobile, affordable, sustainable, and prepared for baffle with total battlespace situation awareness and information assurance. We are adapting our acquisition processes to take greater advantage of commercial market forces and make better use of private sector information and technology. We are striving to be agile enough to thwart the advanced asymmetric capabilities of potential adversaries.
