Work Plan for a Treatability Study in Support of Remediation by Natural Attenuation at Building 301, Offutt Air Force Base, Omaha, Nebraska

Abstract

This work plan, prepared by Parsons Engineering Science, Inc. (Parsons ES), formerly Engineering Science, Inc. (PS), presents the scope of work required for the collection of data necessary to conduct a treatability study (TS) for remediation of groundwater contaminated with chlorinated aliphatic hydrocarbons (CAHs) at the Building 301 (13301) Solid Waste Management Unit (SWMU) located at Offutt Air Force Base (AFB) in Bellevue, Nebraska. Hydrogeologic and groundwater chemical data collected under this program can be used to evaluate various remedial options; however, this work plan is oriented toward the collection of hydrogeologic data to be used as input into groundwater flow and solute transport models in support of remediation by natural attenuation (RNA) with long-term monitoring for restoration of groundwater contaminated with CAHs.
