The Influence of Gender, Age, and Ethnicity on Core Thermosensitivity and Responses to Cold

Abstract

This investigation evaluated the influence of gender and phase of menstrual cycle. The purpose of this investigation was to therefore determine if central thermosensitivity differs between males and females, or, if menstrual cycle phase age, ethnicity or age would affect central thermosensitivity. In addition, it is uncertain if central thermosensitivity (as determined in water) is correlated to a cold air tolerance test.
