Recent Advances in the Prediction of Tracked Vehicle Seismic Signatures

Abstract

Under this program, sponsored by the National Ground Intelligence Center (NGIC), BBN Technologies continued the development of a model for the prediction of the seismic signatures of foreign tracked vehicles initiated during an earlier phase. The signatures are estimated by combining the ground excitation forces predicted by the tracked vehicle dynamics model TRAXION 1-4 with the propagation transfer functions obtained from a Rayleigh wave model.
