Japanese Science and Technology Management Program (JSTMP) Final Technical Report

Abstract

The Japanese Science and Technology Management Program designed a training program with four major components; i)Japanese language training, 2)education in Japanese business and social culture, 3)education on the inter-relationships between Japanese family, educational, industrial, and government institutions, and 4) either an internship or study mission to Japan. The unifying focus of the program was to provide participants with the underlying knowledge required to make intelligent decisions about identifying which Japanese management methods may be useful in U.S. government and-industry labs.
