Center for the Study of National Reconnaissance Bulletin. Number 20001-1, Winter-Spring 2001

Abstract

Information about the study of national reconnaissance at the NRO, specifics on what is now unclassified in the field, updates on current declassification efforts, data on alumni-related events, and other particulars about the discipline of national reconnaissance. The CSNR Bulletin, a bi-annual periodical, will serve as a resource and reference for today's world of national reconnaissance. Since the NRO was declassified in 1992, there has been a growing number of opportunities for a more open, unclassified discussion of topics related to national reconnaissance. One of these opportunities in today's environment is providing input to the more dynamic public policy dialogue about the theory and practice of national reconnaissance. The CSNR Bulletin serves as a means for professionals in defense, space, and intelligence, as well as academia and others with an interest in the field, to learn about national reconnaissance and receive updates about current developments.
