Apparel Research Network (ARN) Program Size Selection for ARNSCAN

Abstract

This project had the objective of developing size selection algorithms necessary to generate computer software for determining the size clothing required for a specific military recruit. Body measurement information generated by a 3D full human body scanner provided the input to drive the size selection software. Southern Polytechnic State University worked with Beecher Research and Cyberware, Inc in support of this effort for the Apparel Research Network (ARN). This project led to the implementation of automated measurement extraction and size selection for all recruits at the Marine Corp Recruit Depot, San Diego, CA.
