Testing of the Supersonic COIL Driven by a Jet SOG Using a Diode Probe Diagnostic, and Investigation of the Chemical Generation of Atomic Iodine for COIL

Abstract

This report results from a contract tasking Institute of Physics Academy of Sciences as follows: The contractor will investigate the previously developed supersonic COIL driven by a jet singlet oxygen generator. Its operation will be explored using the tunable diode laser provided by AFRL. They will also investigate the chemical generation of atomic iodine for a COIL using apparatus designed and built under their previous contract(s).
