Virus Information Update CIAC-2301

Abstract

While CIAC periodically issues bulletins about specific computer viruses, these bulletins do not cover all the computer viruses that affect desktop computers. The purpose of this document is to identify most of the known viruses for the MS-DOS, Windows (i.e. Windows 3.xx, 95, 97, and NT), and Macintosh platforms and give an overview of the effects of each virus. We also include information on some Atari, and Amiga viruses. This document is revised periodically as new virus information becomes available. This document replaces all earlier versions of the CIAC Computer Virus Information Update. The date on the front cover indicates date on which the information in this document was extracted from CIACIs Virus database.
