Abstract

This is volume 1 of 2 of the Proceedings of the 12th International Conference on High-Power Particle Beams (BEAMS'98) held in Haifa, Israel on June 7-12,1998. The conference covered all topics relevant to the physics and technology of intense beams of charge particles and included sessions devoted to pulsed power and accelerator technology, ion beams and diodes, ICF, electron beams generation and propagation, radiation sources, HPM, beam-matter sources, z-pinches and explosive generations. Special emphasis was given to newly emerging fields and industrial application.
