Business Architecture Model for Network Centric Surface Combatant Land Attack Warfare

Abstract

Land attack is a major mission area for the surface navy in the coming years. High levels of complexity characterize the land attack environment of 2015. The purpose of this research is to generate an understanding of the warfare architecture the land attack C4ISR-T systems will support. The Business Architecture Model for Network Centric Surface Combatant Land Attack Warfare depicts a networked resource structure of sensor, weapons, and decision makers that are transformed in a value added engagement process to achieve land attack goals. This structure was developed using the Eriksson-Penker Business Extension Tool Kit for the Unified Modeling Language (UML).
