Evaluation of NDCC and Mud and Snow Tires in Soft Soil

Abstract

This report describes the procedure and discusses the test results for a series of preliminary tests conducted in sand to compare a 7.00-16 NDCC tire with a 7.00-16 commercial mud and snow tire. There appeared to be no difference in the drawbar pull developed by the two tires. A slight difference in efficiency may well lie within the natural scatter of the experimental results.
