Breast Cancer Screening by Physical Examination: Randomized Trial in the Philippines

Abstract

Completed activities. 1.) continuing identification and registration of new breast cancer in the resident population with collection of clinical details of stage at diagnosis; incidence data have been completed for years 1995-1998. 2) continuing identification and registration of all cases of malignant cancer in the resident population; 3) continuing collection and processing of death certificates (all causes); 4) record linkage between files of incident cases and master files of the intervention cohort; 5) selection of controls matched to incident cases in the cohort and analysis of the risk of breast cancer associated with reproductive variables.
