Fast Pulsed X-Ray Sources Tightly Coupled with Small Targets for Isomer Triggering Studies

Abstract

This report results from a contract tasking National Institute for Laser, Plasma and Radiation Physics as follows: The contractor will develop a fast (<10 ns) compact pulsed X-ray source (spectrum energy end point > 20 KeV) which will allow synchronized detection of gamma rays from small isomer targets tightly coupled with the source.
