Acquisition Management of the Defense Counterintelligence Information System

Abstract

The overall audit objective was to evaluate the acquisition management of the Defense Counterintelligence Information System. Specifically, the audit determined whether the information technology system was being cost-effectively acquired, monitored, tested, secured, and prepared for deployment and system life-cycle support in accordance with DoD and other applicable guidance. In addition, we evaluated the management control program related to the objective. See Appendix A for a discussion of the audit scope and methodology and the review of the management control program.
