Effects of Measurement Geometry on Spectral Reflectance and Color

Abstract

Measurements of candidate materials for calibration of outdoor color imagery were made using integrating sphere and 45 /0 geometry. The differing results are discussed using CIELAB linear color space in terms of the measurement geometry and specularity of the material. Implications for calibration of outdoor photography are discussed with an example.
