Information Resources Management: Comprehensive Strategic Plan Needed to Address Mounting Challenges

Abstract

The events of September 11 and the subsequent anthrax attacks demonstrated the importance of accurate, timely information and the time for strong leadership in integrating and managing this information government agencies. As agencies have struggled with issues intelligence gathering,information sharing and dissemination, security, and information technology (IT), it has become increasingly apparent our government needs to better assess from a strategic standpoint aspects of how it handles information.
