Abstract

The purpose and goals of this workshop was to convene a workshop of scientists and resource managers to: 1) Present an overview of plague in the United States and historical and current status, 2) Present current activities in plague surveillance research management and control, 3) Discuss research and information needs relative to plague control, 4) Establish a basis for developing partnerships for future plague-related research, and 5) Develop a guidance document or white paper for aiding the development research programs and funding initiatives.
