ACS Symposium on Molecular Tribology

Abstract

A symposium on 'Molecular Tribology' was held at the National Meeting of the American Chemical Society. The symposium brought together researchers in the field of tribology to present and discuss recent developments in their research. The aspects of tribology covered by the symposium were quite broad but included a number of areas of importance to Air Force technologies including vapor phase lubrication, lubrication of MEMS devices, and tribological properties of thin hard film coatings.
