Guide to Securing Windows NT/9x Clients in a Windows 2000 Network

Abstract

The purpose of this guide is to inform the reader about Active Directory Client Extensions and recommend security configurations for Windows NT, Windows 98, and Windows 95 clients in a Windows 2000 domain. This guide is not intended to cover migration from a Windows NT network to a Windows 2000 network. Migration issues will be covered in a separate miniguide that will be part of the NSA Windows 2000 security series.
