Personal Affairs: Handbook on Volunteers in Army Community Service

Abstract

Army Community Service (ACS) is a program that incorporates innovations. One of these is the provision for developing a corps of ACS volunteers. Providing volunteers with opportunities to participate in ACS Centers adds a dynamic dimension to a program of human service. This handbook has been prepared for the purpose of offering guidance and assistance in the development and administration of a volunteer program within Army Community Service. ACS Officers and ACS volunteer leaders can consider the handbook to be a personal tool for help with involving volunteers in ACS programs.
