Engineering and Design: Fire Protection--Hydroelectric Power Plants

Abstract

The purpose of this letter is to provide guidance for the upgrading of fire prevention, fire detection, fire protection and smoke control systems in existing power plants. Means of emergency access and egress from the power plant, and the use of fire resisting materials when modifying or installing new equipment or material in the power plant is also addressed.
