Introduction, Requirements Determination, and Publication of New Standardized Medical Items into the Department of Defense (Supplementation is Prohibited)

Abstract

Purpose and Scope: To establish procedures and delineate responsibilities for determining requirements for all new standardized medical items introduced into the DOD supply system, and to establish procedures for publication of the availability of such items. This regulation is applicable to HQ DLA; the Directorate of Medical Materiel, Defense Personnel Support Center (DPSC); the Army, Navy, Air Force and Marine Corps. It has been coordinated with and concurred in by the Military Services (hereafter referred to as the Services).
