Multiservice Procedures for Joint Air Traffic Control (JATC)

Abstract

This publication: (1) Provides basic background information on JATC operations. (2) Describes each Service's ATC doctrine, forces, capabilities, training, and equipment used to perform JATC operations. (3) Outlines the duties, responsibilities, and command and control relationships that influence JATC operations and handover procedures. (4) Illustrates how Service ATC forces are deployed and employed to perform ATC operations. (5) Describes how Service ATC forces conduct ATC during initial, transition, and sustained operations. (6) Outlines the process for synchronizing and integrating JATC forces within the theater or AOR. (7) Explains how to integrate the Services' ATC equipment and ATC forces.
