Communications and Information: Telecommunications Monitoring and Assessment Program (TMAP)

Abstract

Telecommunications. The Air Force uses unsecured telecommunications systems such as telephones, cellular phones, radios, facsimile, pagers, computer networks, and other wired or wireless electronic devices to conduct day-to-day official business. Adversaries can easily monitor these unsecured systems that could provide information on military capabilities, limitations, intentions, and activities.
