L-Band, Solid State Transmit/Receive Module

Abstract

Phase I of a two-phase program to develop solid-state components has been completed successfully. As a result a number of L-band transmitter/receiver (T/R) modules were fabricated by several contractors. The modules were evaluated in a newly constructed, sophisticated, computerized test facility at the Naval Research Laboratory. The modules were engineering models that represented the current state of the art of solid state and concomitant microwave devices and techniques. In most cases stringent specifications and design goals were achieved.
